The Cyclomaniacs were founded in 2004 by team captain Jeff Schaefer to participate in the MS Coast the Coast Bike Tour. Since that time the Cyclomaniacs have grown from 4 to 22 members, and has branched out from MS rides to riding for Autism, ALS, and the Transportation Alternative just to name a few.
The 2008 Coast the Coast Bike tour has been our best tour yet, 21 of the 22 team member’s road in the tour and raised over $12,000.00. All 22 members would have ridden but our youngest member, 8 year old Christopher Schaefer, was unable to ride due to his age. This did not deter Christopher, however. Team members Alan, Scott, Alex, and Jeff rode a mini Coast the Coast with Christopher.
